Currently training her horse Ferraro at the Grand Prix level, Jeannette has been teaching students and training horses for over 40 years.
Jeannette exemplifies the theory that trainers are measured by the accomplishments of their students, in that a number of her pupils have been champions at the Junior Championships and have trained successfully through the F.E.I. level.
Jeannette’s riding career started in her native South Africa over 40 years ago, and since then her riding history has included many successful Hunter Jumpers and 3-Day Events. However, her passion and specialization turned to Dressage in the early 1980s, and since then she has trained several horses to the International (FEI) level and has earned her Bronze and Silver medals. She is currently working toward her Gold Medal.
Jeannette was also a mounted patrol officer for Marin County Open Space District for 35 years. She is very active in the California Dressage Society and has held several terms as President of the Marin Chapter.
